The main reason for traveling to Florida was a convenient flight connection between the Caribbean and South America. After I had already booked my flights, I found out that my American family was going to be in Orlando. So we met up there and spent a nice short family vacation together.
I returned to Richmond, VA, after five years. I was very happy to see my former host family again and stay in my old room. Coming home for Thanksgiving… 😉
Northern California has a dramatic coastline with stunning sunsets, cute cities with Victorian houses and some really, really good weed! 😀
Unlike Las Vegas, Reno, NV, was surrounded be beautiful mountains and forests. The city itself looked like a small version of Las Vegas though. But besides the casinos and hotels, there was lots of cool art.
The final stop of our Cali road trip was San Francisco. We stayed with two different Couchsurfing hosts that were both awesome. And we explored the city, taking many photos of course. 🙂
We stayed with a couchsurfer in El Portal, CA, for two nights to visit Yosemite National Park. This park is a must see when you are in California. We were amazed by nature’s beauty.
